Plain-English notes on GLP-1 medicines.

Short explainers on the labels, terms and tracking questions that come up during treatment, each linked to its sources. General information, not medical advice.

  1. Tracking

What to bring to a GLP-1 follow-up appointment

MedlinePlus suggests bringing a list of your medicines and a description of your symptoms to appointments. How Traxsy helps you gather both: dose history, side effects, weight and a CSV export.

  2. Medication

Ozempic®, Mounjaro® and Zepbound®: what each US label covers

In the US, Ozempic® and Mounjaro® are approved to treat type 2 diabetes, and Zepbound® for weight management and sleep apnea in certain adults. A note on reading the labels, not on which works better.

  3. Dosing

Zepbound® dose steps: why your prescriber sets the pace

The Zepbound® prescribing information describes how doses are started and increased; your prescriber decides if and when you move up. How to record each change in Traxsy.

  4. Injections

Pen splitting on GLP-1 pens: what the Instructions for Use say, and the risks

Safety note first: the Instructions for Use for the Ozempic® pen and the Zepbound® KwikPen® say not to set a dose by counting clicks. Only take the doses your prescriber has told you to take, set exactly as your pen's Instructions for Use describe. Any click count, including the estimates Traxsy shows, is not a dosing instruction.
