How to choose a GLP-1 tracker.

The questions worth asking of any medication tracker, Traxsy included, with straight answers for Traxsy 1.2.

01Checklist

Questions to ask any GLP-1 tracker.

Use them to compare any app or method. Our answers describe Traxsy 1.2 as it is today.

  1. Does it support your medicine and schedule?

Weekly injections, daily injections and daily tablets are logged differently.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Yes

Tirzepatide, semaglutide (injection or tablet), dulaglutide and liraglutide, on weekly or daily schedules.

  2. Can you log each dose with its injection site?

Medicine labels say to rotate injection sites, so a record of where you injected helps.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Yes

Dose, time, site, pain level and notes, with a site grid that suggests the next site. Your pen's Instructions for Use come first.

  3. Are side effects on the same timeline as doses?

It's easier to tell your prescriber when symptoms happen.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Yes

Nausea, fatigue and appetite, plus mood, energy and digestion, scored on a simple scale.

  4. Does it cover weight, food and water?

Weight trends are easier to read next to what you ate and drank.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Yes

Weight, BMI, body measurements, calories, protein and water.

  5. Is the medication-level chart clearly an estimate?

No app can measure the medicine in your blood.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Yes

It's calculated from your logged doses and FDA label data, with sources in the app. It isn't a blood level or a guide to when or how much to take.

  6. Does it handle pens and changing plans?

Multi-dose pens, maintenance doses and prescriber-set schedules need a clear record.

In Traxsy 1.2: With Traxsy Pro

Pen Split log with estimated clicks, Maintenance Mode and custom schedules. Click counts are estimates, not manufacturer instructions.

  7. Can you take your data with you?

You should be able to leave, or share your records, without retyping them.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Yes

A CSV of your injections, a full JSON backup, and a download of everything our backend holds.

  8. Where is your data stored, and who can see it?

Health logs are sensitive, so the answer should be specific.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Details

On your iPhone. Doses, weight, daily metrics and your profile also sync to our backend, hosted by Supabase. Authorised Traxsy staff can view account records. No ads, no analytics SDKs.

  9. Does it sync with Apple Health?

It saves typing if you already log weight somewhere else.

    In Traxsy 1.2: No

Not in this version: you log entries in Traxsy itself.

  10. Does it make PDF reports?

Some people like a printout for appointments.

    In Traxsy 1.2: No

No. You can export a CSV or a JSON backup instead.

  11. Does it use AI on your data?

If it does, find out where your data is sent.

    In Traxsy 1.2: No

No. The current version has no AI features and sends nothing to AI services.

  12. Which devices does it run on?

Check before you rely on it day to day.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Details

iPhone, with an Apple Watch companion. There's no iPad or Android version and no home-screen widgets.

Health details are easier to log in your own language.

The app is in 20 languages (some translations are partial); this website is in 10.

  14. What does it cost?

Know what's free before you start logging.

    In Traxsy 1.2: Details

02Other options

Not sure an app is right for you?

A paper log

Works without a phone, an account or a connection, and nothing leaves the page. You keep the reminders and the arithmetic yourself, and it's harder to spot trends or share a copy.

A general health or notes app

It may already hold your weight. Check whether it can record doses, injection sites and side effects together, and read its privacy policy to see where your data goes.

We don't compare named apps here: their features change often, and we won't publish claims about other products that we can't keep up to date.
