Wegovy® injection sites: what the label says about where to inject and rotating
General information, not medical advice. Talk to your prescriber or pharmacist about your own treatment.
The Wegovy® label lists the abdomen, thigh and upper arm, and says to rotate injection sites with each dose. How Traxsy's site grid keeps a record, alongside your pen's Instructions for Use.
The US prescribing information for Wegovy® (semaglutide) says to inject it under the skin of the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, and to rotate injection sites with each dose. The Ozempic® Medication Guide gives the same instruction: change (rotate) your injection site with each injection, and don't use the same site each time.
Other pens word it differently. The Zepbound® KwikPen® Instructions for Use, for example, say to change your injection site each week: you may use the same area of the body, but choose a different injection site in that area. The Instructions for Use for your own pen, and your pharmacist, are the reference for your medicine.
Traxsy records the site of every dose you log and shows a grid of sites with a suggestion for the next one, so you can see where you injected recently. The suggestion is a reminder to rotate, not a medical instruction: if your prescriber or your pen's instructions say otherwise, follow them.
